DARKSIDE NEW JERSEY
EXHIBITOR AGREEMENT

Legal and Sustainably Sourced Specimens
As an exhibitor at Darkside New Jersey, it is important to adhere to our policies regarding the sale of certain items. By agreeing to our contract, you confirm that you have procured or produced all items ethically, that you are not terminating an animal's life to be sold as art and that all specimens being sold are legally allowed to be sold in the State of New Jersey. It is up to you, as the vendor, to understand and obey all NJ State laws.

Furthermore, the sale of bats (of any species) are strictly prohibited at Darkside New Jersey. Most species of bat are endangered and the sale of any endangered species at Darkside New Jersey is strictly prohibited. The sale of human remains at Darkside New Jersey are also strictly prohibited. That being said, the sale of human teeth, hair art and blood art are excluded from this rule and are acceptable to sell. Selling any banned items will result in your immediate removal from the show, forfeiture of your vending fee and a ban on all future events. It’s just not worth it, friends.

We reserve the right to request any necessary documentation if you are selling an item that may require it. Failure to provide proper documentation will result in the removal of that item from the show. Zero exceptions.

We prefer to work with ethical exhibitors and artists. We believe in and promote sustainable, legal sourcing. We take our craft seriously and we expect you to as well. By registering at our events, you agree to adhere to these rules and you agree that Darkside New Jersey is in no way responsible if you break them.

PROHIBITED ITEMS
Darkside New Jersey prohibits the sale of AI created artwork, direct sales companies of any kind, any and all racist, sexist, xenophobic, homophobic, heterosexist, transphobic and anti-semetic materials. We also do not allow MAGA related or other politically motivated items. We do not allow items that include weaponized phrases or terms. The Trenton Punk Rock Flea Market has spent more than a decade developing a safe space for all exhibitors and attendees and this applies to Darkside New Jersey. Breaking these rules will be cause for immediate expulsion from the event, forfeiture of your vending fee and a ban on all future events. We take this extremely seriously and we expect you to as well.

VENDOR FEES & REFUNDS
Darkside New Jersey does not offer refunds for our events once you register. If you cancel your booth/table or no-show, your vending fee is forfeited. This is an annual show and reservations will not be carried to a future event.

APPLICATIONS & PAYMENTS
All exhibitors must first apply to vend and wait for an Acceptance, Denial or Waitlist offer before moving to the next step which is registering online and paying for your vending space. All payments must be made online and in advance of Darkside New Jersey. We do not reserve space. We’re always happy to work with our exhibitors, so if you require a payment plan, please email us directly at newjerseyisodd@gmail.com

MARKETING & SOCIAL MEDIA
All registered exhibitors will receive free flyers and posters if they so choose. We ask that you please respect all show promoters rules with regards to promoting outside events but if you are able to promote our event at your upcoming shows and everyone’s cool with it, we’d love that. You are welcome to promote your upcoming shows at our events although it must be done tastefully and flyers must not be larger than 5x8. Posters of any size are not allowed to promote upcoming shows. We do have approved social media marketing elements that we will be sending out to all exhibitors as they register. Please use these images and tag us on social media as well!

Please do no create competing social media events (ie. Facebook events) as it’s confusing and stops the potential attendee from receiving all of the proper information and marketing for our event. Please use official social media event links for promotion only.

VENDING RULES & REGULATIONS

  • Tables and Chairs are included in your registration fee. Number of chairs is based on the number of tables or booths you register for but all exhibitors will be provided with at least two chairs. 10x10 booths receive a full 100 sq ft footprint with pipe and drape. See registration form for more details. You may NOT vend or set up outside of your booth or tables parameters.

  • Approval of Items for Sale: We request that you include images of your set up and product as well as websites and social media links during the application and registration process. When you apply, you are applying to sell a specific kind of item. When you change that, it may require a second approval. We don’t need to hyper-monitor every item you sell but if you applied under one selling category and you’re selling under another (or are now on the cusp of another) you’ll require another approval. If this is the case, please message us at least 30 days in advance at newjerseyisodd@gmail.com.

  • Please respect your neighboring exhibitors and leave the drama for yo’ mama. We’re here for business. Not BS. If you happen to experience an issue with another vendor that you are unable to work out on your own, please be sure to locate one of our staff and they’ll bring it to the proper person to deal with.

  • By registering for Darkside New Jersey, you agree to vend until doors are closed. You may not pack up or leave early. If you do, you will forfeit any vending fee and risk a ban for future shows. If you are experiencing an issue that requires you to leave immediately, we ask that you please visit the show runners booth to speak to one of our staff. We’ll never stop someone from leaving but if you are experiencing an emergency, we can help get you out quicker and navigate any security.

  • All exhibitors must be loaded in by the times specified on your load in emails. We set the load in times for a specific reason so please be sure to do your best to follow that. In the event you are running late, we ask that you please reach out to us immediately.

  • Sharing booths or tables is not allowed. Due to the fact that all exhibitors must apply to vend, we do not allow sharing. We are happy to do our best to honor any placement requests if you’d like your own table next to a friends table or booth.

  • Please manage your trash/waste. We put a tremendous amount of time into planning and executing our shows so please show us the respect we show you and keep your vending space clean. When you load out at the end of the event, please take ALL of your waste with you. Please do not load up garbage cans in the aisleways. Your garbage is your garbage. Please treat it as such.

  • No open flames or lit candles/incense. Look, we love a little patchouli as much as the next GenXer but not everyone does so let’s not do that. You’re welcome to sell both candles and incense but you may NOT burn them.

  • No Tents or Canopies: Fire Marshall’s hate indoor tents and canopies. Although a fire retardant tent may be approved, it will require a permit and we’re only allowed to approve so many per show. Due to these restrictions, we do not allow either to be set up inside our events. You may use the empty frame, but you may not use the canopy indoors.

  • Business Contacts. Please be sure to spell your email properly on your application and subsequent registration form. It’s imperative we have the proper email to be in contact with you. Email is how we communicate with our exhibitors so please double check your email when registering. To contact the Darkside New Jersey, shoot an email to newjerseyisodd@gmail.com. Personal Social Media messages will be ignored.

  • Load-In Details: We release load in details by email approximately two weeks before the event date. This is sent to the email you registered with. Anyone who’s vended a TPRFM related event knows we’re methodical about our load in details so please be sure to read them thoroughly and carefully. The more we all know, the better off we’ll all be.

  • Vendor Parking: Please be sure to listen to and respect our parking team. When you arrive to unload, they’ll be your point of contact and they’ll let you know where you may park for the remainder of the event. Please park in the back of the parking lot so that attendees may park closer. Attendees won’t attend if there’s no parking so let’s circumvent that now and leave plenty of room for attendees to park!
